Dr. James V. Beck is a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Michigan State University.

Ben Blackwell

Sandia National Laboratories

Dr. Ben Blackwell received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and spent the majority of his professional career at Sandia National Laboratories. He retired from Sandia in 2004 after 36 years spent in the areas of computational and experimental heat transfer. The last decade of his professional career was spent on sensitivity analysis and uncertainty propagation of computational models. After retirement, he has continued to remain active technically, primarily in the areas of ablation modeling, sensitivity analysis, verification of computational models, and uncertainty propagation. He has published extensively and is a fellow of ASME and associate fellow of AIAA.
